Cuerpo Especializado en Seguridad Fronteriza Terrestre (CESFRONT)

El Cuerpo Especializado de Seguridad Fronteriza Terrestre, (CESFRONT), es una Dependencia del Ministerio de Defensa, organismo creado mediante el decreto 325 del 08 de agosto del año 2006.

El decreto 323 del 3 de Julio del 2007 le asigna la responsabilidad de garantizar la permanencia de un dispositivo especializado de seguridad y control en los puntos formales de entrada y salida en la frontera terrestre dominico haitiana; también establecer patrullaje y puestos de control complementario en las áreas que le sean asignada en toda la franja fronteriza.

El CESFRONT entró en operaciones el 26 de septiembre del año 2007, mediante la Orden General número 56 de fecha 6 de agosto del año 2007 del Ministerio de Defensa.

Objetivo General:

Establecer un dispositivo de seguridad y control permanente en los puntos formales de entrada y salida, así como en las áreas que le sean asignadas a lo largo de la frontera terrestre dominicana. Realizar patrullaje y establecer puestos de control, observación y chequeo, aplicando todas las medidas de coordinación necesarias para el desarrollo de operaciones conjuntas con las diferentes agencias destacadas a todo lo largo de la frontera dominico-haitiana.

Ser un Cuerpo Especializado capaz de controlar y asegurar la frontera dominico-haitiana mediante la capacitación continua y renovada de sus miembros, sirviendo de ente coordinador al ejecutarse operaciones conjuntas con las demás instituciones y agencias destacadas en la frontera.
